MyTouch 3G Owners Still Waiting For Desert

It was unofficially officially announced a few weeks ago when a leaked document from T-Mobile stating that the 2.2 ‘Froyo’ update would be released to MyTouch 3G owners “soon”. The quote is attributed to T-Mobile’s Chief Technology and Innovation Officer Cole Brodman, although the article, found in T-Mobile’s customer-only magazine 100% You, did not state exactly when the update would be available. There is some speculation among MyTouch 3G owners as to when ‘soon’ is, but since more advanced Android phones, like Motorola’s Droid, haven’t yet been upgraded to 2.2, it’s generally believed that the MyTouch line won’t receive the update for another few months.
